The Dunes of Corralejo (Parque Natural de Corralejo) look like a small desert overlooking the ocean: children can run, play and explore in total freedom.
Oasis Wildlife Fuerteventura is the island’s main wildlife park and is home to giraffes, elephants, camels and many other species, with shows and activities designed for the whole family.
The Acua Water Park, in Corralejo, is perfect for spending a different day among slides, pools and water play areas.
Also popular is the boat trip to Lobos Island (Isla de Lobos), a small natural island with crystal clear waters and easy scenic trails.
For something very special, Popcorn Beach (Playa del Bajo de la Burra) surprises young and old with its white coral formations that look like popcorn.
Betancuria, an ancient historic village in the mountains, is worth a visit for its typical streets and authentic atmosphere, while the Cuevas de Ajuy offer a beautiful coastal walk between volcanic caves and black sand beaches.
