Theme and Water Parks in Fuerteventura

Located in La Lajita, a short drive from the resort town of Morro Jable, Oasis Park is one of the biggest attractions on the island, especially where kids are concerned – a huge wildlife park and botanical gardens that covers some 780,000 square meters.

Oasis Park is divided into three sections, namely the zoo, a camel safari station and the botanical gardens. The zoo at Oasis Park is the biggest attraction for most visitors, harboring around 250 different species of animal, including meercats, giraffes, elephants and (talkative) parrots to name just a few, while numerous daily shows take place such as the bird of prey show and the reptile show. The botanical garden is full of interesting cacti, palm trees and many other tropical plants, and will be of interest to anyone who loves their nature, while the camel safari is a must – but sadly this is not covered in the entrance fee.

The wet and wild world of Acua Water Park in Fuerteventura is packed with attractions of all heights, widths and shapes, from white-knuckle rides to gentle slides. This is a park where you can go from a thrilling adrenalin rush to the peaceful quiet of the lush landscaped gardens in a matter of moments.

At one of the most exciting water parks in the Canary Islands, you’ll be able to try exhilarating rides such as the Black Hole, the Zig-Zags, the Splash Race and Mini-Kamikaze, and other more relaxing attractions, including the Lazy River and Big Jacuzzi. There are eight water slides, including the Kamikaze for the more daring.

There’s also a sensational wave pool and children’s slides and castle as well as mini-golf to keep the little (and big) ones entertained while you lie down in the sun and relax.

To make it the perfect day out, you can enjoy a family meal in the picnic area… if you can get the rest of the family out of the water. There are a number of food and drinks areas to seek refreshments and snacks. Baku puts security first and offers you peace of mind with the medical services and lifeguards that are available during your time in the park.

Learning about our planet’s fauna

A visit to a zoo or an aquarium is a fun way to show the young the magic of the planet we live on. Besides, on many occasions it’s the only chance to see species that live in other parts of the world and which children are always curious about.
